How It All Began

The Tyre & Wheel Company, founded by my father, was originally based on Bramley Road in the west of London. However, due to the need for expansion we soon relocated to nearby Ladbroke Grove.

It was around this time my brother Fred (pictured opposite) filled his spare time by working alongside our father. Before long he left school and joined the compnay on a fulltime basis.

We had many good years at Ladbroke Grove until the council decided on a new roundabout to give the new Sainsburys store better access for the large delivery lorries. This gave us only a few months to find a new premesis.

The Big Move

After weeks of looking we eventually decided on our current address on the Harrow Road W10. It was in dire need of attention but we could all see the potential, and a deal was struck with the owners.

We moved from the Ladbroke Grove site to the Harrow Road in 1982. We haven't looked back since. First we roofed the back of the building. Four years later we built the showroom complete with offices. The building work was finally completed when we roofed the whole yard. This meant the site was completly covered and that we had enough room for three ramps and eight sales cars.

Getting Ready For The Future

In the early nineties we decided to convert the showrooms into more working space. This gave us the room for a fast fit drive through service. In 1998 we opened up a new site down the Harrow Road to deal with body repairs. So we are now able to deal with all aspects of motor repairs.

As you can see we are a forward thinking family run business who are comitted to providing the most complete automotive service possible.
